Jejaview Wants To Be Your Fantastic Friend

Jejaview is tight. Their chemistry is flawless and their songs are densely packed, ear candy-sonic-assaults from start to finish. A Jejaview live show is truly a sight to witness. As band mates, their closeness and determination to succeed as professional musicians inspire hunger and a rigorous work ethic among one another. Towards their fans, Jejaview is all about real interaction and getting out in the scene through concerts, gigs, and social media. Keeping it tight has been Jejaview’s mantra since day one.

Hot on the success of their recently launched music video for the single “Paperskin” (directed by Paolo Ruiz,) Jejaview shows no signs of slowing down. Playing gigs all over the Metro, most recently opening for foreign act There For Tomorrow at the SM North Skydome, has made their distinct Rock/Pop/Alternative sound a favorite of music chasers in the city. Now with an outlet on local music channel MYX, more first time listeners of the band are discovering that they enjoy the good noise of Jejaview.

The variety of personalities in Jejaview’s lineup is not in any way detrimental to the band dynamic. Vocalist/Rhythm Guitarist Christian Tomacruz, Lead Guitarist/Backup Vocalist Luigi Tuazon, Bassist Marvin Carayugan, and Drummer Miggy Abesamis, could not be more different as individuals. Unified by the singular goal of playing great music and pleasing their fans, Jejaview conveys a unique brand of confidence as only these young individuals know how. It might be the way Christian sneers at you, or the way Marvin leapfrogs to the beat. Or a single crash hit from Miggy during a blistering solo from Luigi. Each member knows that swagger; and each enjoys giving the audience a taste of it through their music.

Their soon-to-be-released first studio album “People Are Watching” is a realization of the band’s dreams and aspirations. The album is a product of many sleepless nights in the rehearsal and recording studio, and is a big step for the band towards achieving their dreams. However, more than that, the album is an answer to all the requests of the fans for them to put out a recording. Their fans are what keep them going, and Jejaview collectively acknowledges that the album is definitely for them.

“The fans are very important to us. It’s good to know that there’s people out there who appreciate what we do. It’s what keeps us going, it’s incredibly inspiring. If it wasn’t for the fans, we wouldn’t be as confident as we are now. We wouldn’t be working as hard as we are now, so thank you to all the fans, thank you so much for all your support. This one’s for you,” says Marvin

People Are Watching” is a collection of the band’s experiences. A big step forward in this young group’s careers, this debut album, chronicling all the highs and lows, is an achievement that has only brought the four closer.

“This album is a memoir of my journey making music with the boys. I am proud to say that this is our unique stamp on this kind of music,” shares Miggy

“It’s a trophy of all the love and hate that I have in life,” says Christian about the album.

Jejaview is ready to embark on a new chapter in their young career. Conveying simple messages in their songs like, friendship, loss, humility, perseverance, and the absence of pretension are easily relatable subjects. Contemporary with classic undertones, Jejaview’s sound is easy to get hooked on to.

And that’s really all that Jejaview wants you to do. Get tight with them.
