RUNNING MAN: The Party Run on November 17, 2012





Running Man: The Party Run comprises a 5-kilometer run and a series of obstacles designed to test your strength and endurance before reaching the finish line. After the last wave is done, the Running Man party begins!

The paved course is on stretch of rolling hills, while the obstacle course will be landscaped on a lot right beside Enderun College. Water Stations and First Aid staff will be present.

Barefoot Running Philippines: FIRST BAREFOOT OPEN - October 6, 2012

THE BAREFOOT OPEN
OCTOBER 6, 2012 , SATURDAY, 5:30AM

Barefoot Running Philippines will have their First Barefoot Open to (all barefoot runners and those who want to run barefoot for the first time) - Take the road less traveled!

Registration is on-site at Php 300.00 and comes with a cool shirt! There will be a short clinic before the run. Distances are 3km (for beginners) and 5km. there are no race bibs, no timing chips. You will be judged according to your running form. The best performer/s will receive prizes!




CIVILIAN VEHICLES: You can only enter Fort Bonifacio via GATE 6 along Bayani Road. Gate 2 along Lawton is reserved for cars with official stickers.

POGS Presscon Year 3



Run for Change and The Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society  (POGS)  launched a presscon last September 11, 2012 at Chef’s Quarter -  3rd floor , Building B - Atrium level of SM Megamall with the doctors of  The Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society; my fellow runners and bloggers aiming to cascade awareness to the running community headed by ultra runner and blogger/writer Mr. Blas Ople Tiangco (Titanium Runner).

For this year upcoming run will be held on October 21, 2012 at Camp Aguinaldo Grounds. In it’s 3rd year :  POGS "Takbo Para sa Ligtas na Pagbubuntis" – this aim to help all mothers out there (to educate) the proper way of motherhood especially the labor stage / delivering their babies; securing the health of the mothers and decrease the mortality of giving birth.




We would like to thank also to Chef’s Quarter yummy foods that served our dinner.

I will be running 16km barefoot here! Let us join this run – for advocacy, fitness / healthy living today and for the years to come!

1st Heroes Run 2012 - December 2, 2012



True to its calling as a fraternal organization whose service to the Filipino nation is marked with dedication to what is noble and true, the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc. (PMAAAI) – Philippine Army Chapter Inc. with SEC Registry Number CN201211324 as a non-stock and non-profit organization and in partnership with its Mother Board, the PMAAI will sponsor the 1st Heroes Run 2012 on 02 December 2012 at the hallowed grounds of Fort Andres Bonifacio Complex, Taguig City.



They take pride to partner in this undertaking to provide medical assistance to our living heroes in uniform: Battle Wounded in Action (WIA) personnel of the Philippine Army as well as our athletes such as the Dragon Boat Team (Philippine Team), Boxers, Athletics (Olympian Maristela Torres), Soccer Players (Roel Gener and Manuel Sacapano of the AZKAL), Volleybelles (National V-League Champion) and other event that our soldier athletes excel both in the local and international scene. They are the beneficiaries through the different health care benefits provided by the Army General Hospital (AGH).

They share the burning patriotism with those who have the same passion and advocacy for a safer and better Philippines. Hence, they wanted to journey with every freedom loving Filipino in this running event, the living heroes of the land.

REGISTRATION DETAILS
  • Registration is open to all Filipinos and Foreigners.
  • Runners must complete the registration or submit an accomplished and signed registration form (if system is down) with a non-refundable fee to participate in the race.
  • Registration is on a first come first served basis.
  • Runners may claim their registration kit (containing the official bib number with timing tag attached and safety pins) upon completing the registration process. Bib number with timing tag attached is non-transferable.
For online registration, runners must completely fill-up all the fields in the page and are required to electronically sign the waiver.

REMINDERS

  • Race Kits may run out before November 4, 2012, therefore registration may end earlier than announced deadline.
  • A Valid ID may be requested upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID & picture must be presented by the representative.
  • Singlet size availability will be on a first come first serve basis.
  • A timing device will be used by all participants during the race.

SUMMIT RUN for PINOY GLORY Supports FILIPINO PARALYMPIANS



Summit Run for Pinoy Glory – A gift to our Filipino Paralympians” will harness the bayanihan spirit to honor Filipino Paralympians for their bringing glory to the Philippines by representing the country in the world’s biggest sporting arena for persons with disabilities. By participating in the run, people from all walks of life – athletes and non-athletes, able-bodied and differently-abled – will get a chance to boost the morale of the Paralympians who inspire and bring glory to the nation.

The event will be held on October 20, 2012 at the Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Taguig City. A unique feature of the run is a special category for participants in wheelchairs, which highlights the Paralympic aspect of the Games.

Summit Run for Pinoy Glory is held in co-operation with the British Embassy, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (BCCP), for the benefit of the Philippine Sports Association for the Differently-Abled (PhilSPADA).
